I’m so excited! After years of running my Writers4Writers, writer’s support group at a local library, in one week our first online Writers4Writers event will be here!! The tickets will be $27 for the Writers4Writers May 14th meeting, 6:30-8pm (recordings available 48 hours to help with scheduling conflicts) for 90 minutes of terrific learning.
Should you require financial assistance, to receive a discount coupon please contact Penny@PennySTee.com
I will be hosting Teri Rider, the owner of the award-winning Top Reads Publishing. She will be presenting the “Industry
Standards Checklist for a Professionally Published Book” released by the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) in March 2017.
The checklist is a must-have for writers and will be an informative session. If you have an idea that you want to publish your book independently, or you’d like to enhance your knowledge of how to produce a professionally published book to make a determination of your next steps, we’d love for you to join us. We’ll have Q&A after her hour talk. I hope you are looking forward to joining us!
I’ve scheduled the rest of the year with interviews already planned. To give you another taste of our awesome schedule, Trez Ibrahim will be joining us to look at the writing journey—looking at life as a writer by using Joseph Campbell’s the “Hero’s Journey,” June 11th, followed by John Burke on July 2nd, who will be sharing Pub-Site, his website builder for authors. After each hour interview, we’ll have questions and answers.
If you’ve never attended an online class before, the technology we are using is Zoom. This means that not only will you be able to listen to the interview, but you can ask questions. It’s very much like being in a classroom except with three additional benefits:
- You don’t have to leave home. You just need your computer. As long as you have a camera on your computer, we’ll be able to see you, but if you prefer to not be visible, that option is available as well!
- The sessions will be recorded, so if you have a scheduling conflict you still can listen later and not miss any valuable information. Recordings will be available for folks who pay per event for 48 hours following the session.
- By changing to online we can connect not only locally, but with the world, and that’s so gratifying that we can help so many more people!
Soon we will be offering Writers4Writers memberships with one benefit being that all content-rich recordings will be available in a library 24/7.
Come join us, we’re a terrific writer’s support group! You’ll find a great supportive atmosphere learning together about all aspects of writing from the business to the craft, writer’s journeys and doing readings. I founded Writers4Writers because I fell in love with being around writers. Who wouldn’t want to surround themselves with smart, passionate people who have a message to share?
It’s been a true joy and our members are all types of writers—non-fiction, fiction, poets and every genre…memoir, romance, adventure, sci-fi, comedy—from the published to those questioning—what is this writing addiction that I seem to have? Everyone’s welcome.
So please consider joining us for our first online Writers4Writers meeting May 14th, 6:30-8pm 4 The Love of Writers & Words,
Penny S. Tee
