In Tuesday’s episode of PEACE with Penny we spoke with Harvey Price of Peace Drums. Peace Drums is a unique interfaith initiative promoting peace among Jewish, Muslim and Christian Youth living in the Galilee region of Israel. Its goal is building trust — a trust that will continue into the future and will touch many people. It introduces peace­making and reconciliation through the shared activity of a dynamic steel drum band. Performance tours and spin-off bands demonstrate and stimulate peacemaking.

Harvey Price is founder and Executive Director of Peace Drums. Mr. Price recently retired after 40 years as an Associate Professor of Music at the University of Delaware. He is an active jazz and classical musician in the Philadelphia area and has performed and conducted clinics in the U.S. and abroad, including, Austria, Israel, France, Greece ,Chile, and Trinidad. Mr. Price is a former Salzburg Institute Fellow, and holds a Master’s Certificate from the Global Leaders Program.

Mr. Price lives with his wife, pianist Linda Henderson, in Center City Philadelphia.
