Penny S. Tee interviews Ishmael Ben-Israel from A.M.A.L. which is the Hebrew acronym for Spoken Arabic for All. Established in 2010, A.M.A.L. is a non-profit Israeli organization working to mainstream Arab culture and refute the negative stigma towards it in Israeli society by teaching Spoken Arabic in Hebrew-speaking Israeli elementary schools. Arab college students receiving scholarships, teach the Israeli
children Arabic. By making the knowledge of Arabic and Arab culture more accessible to Jewish, non-Arabic speaking children, they aim to promote an atmosphere of peace, tolerance and mutual respect between Jews and Arabs in Israeli society. We hope you will share it with your friends! May You Live in Peace, שלום and سلام.
