We were so excited to begin Season 2, Episode 1 of PEACE with Penny, as Penny S. Tee interviewed Huda Abuarquob, Regional Director of the Alliance for Middle East Peace (ALLMEP), which aligned with celebrating the International Day of Peace.
When someone embarks on Peace work, one thing I’ve learned is that you have to put your big girl panties on and be willing to listen respectfully to what may be another person’s point of view that can be disturbing and challenge your own personal beliefs. So just a warning to our listeners, be prepared to sometimes confront opinions different than your own during our broadcasts. We may not agree, but we must allow others with differing viewpoints to express themselves, when it’s the appropriate time, we also will state ours, and together, hopefully agreement can be reached, or at least an understanding of our positions will be openly known. Amen.
The opinions of those interviewed are their own, and PEACE with Penny does not necessarily agree, but we believe it’s essential that we listen to everyone’s viewpoint. Afterall, conflicts like these are between those often considered enemies, not friends.
We’ve got so many accomplished guests who work on Peace lined up this season, like Rabbi Ron Kronish, Bishop Dr. Muniq Younan and Huda Abuarquob. It’s one thing to learn history from books, but to hear a person’s own experiences is gripping and we’re grateful to Huda and our other guests, for taking the time to speak with us.
We learned so much about how Peacemakers are going about their heartfelt work in Season 1. If you missed any, you can view the recordings here under Podcasts.
It has been an honor and we feel a blessing that these angels on Earth work so diligently to promote Peace between Israelis and Palestinians. This is not something commonly discussed on our local news, and we feel it’s essential that people know that beyond the violence we hear about, there actually are neighbors, providing hope to Israelis and Palestinians, working on Peace.
Once you listen to our interview, we hope you will enjoy it, share it, and post favorable comments. We want our audience to grow and we hope you will become part of our team and help us do just that! Thank you. We want there to be hope and ultimately, Peace. Amen. May We All Live in Peace, שלום and سلام.
